This full-day "Oil Burner Training" course provides eight hours of instruction on oil burner maintenance and troubleshooting. Topics include an overview of how an oil burner works and how a boiler heats a building, as well as a breakdown of each service component on the oil burner, its function, troubleshooting, and replacement. Specific components covered include the burner motor, fuel pump, fuel pump coupling, electronic ignitor/ignition transformer, Cad cell flame detection, electrodes, nozzle, fuel filter and fuel delivery system, primary safety control (Protecta-relay), proper adjustment/readings of above components, proper boiler heat exchanger cleaning, proper boiler firebox cleaning and refractory inspection, safety control/component checks on the boiler, and basic electrical operation and troubleshooting of burner/boiler controls.
